The World Trade Center Ship, From Stern to Stem →
After finding the stern of an 18th-century sailing vessel in landfill where the new World Trade Center is being constructed, what could be better? Finding the bow — or at least enough to gain a clearer picture of the length of the vessel and how it was constructed; all of which might help solve the mystery of what it was doing anchored off Lower Manhattan in the first place. So cool!

In ‘Mad Men,’ She Would Have Been Peggy →
Before she co-founded the National Women’s Political Caucus, before she wrote “How to Make It in a Man’s World,” and before she had three children, Letty Cottin Pogrebin was Peggy. Very interesting article! P.S. Sorry for the lack of posts here lately, I’m lazy. :P

This is so cool! I had *no* idea that there were Civil War battles that far West! I wonder why I never heard about that? I’ve always wanted to visit New Mexico, too, (ever since I did a report on the state in 4th grade.) I’ll have to add this battlefield to my list of things to check out there.

Synagogues, churches build green →
My architecture-geek self really enjoyed this article on houses of worship building new structures that are environmentally friendly. (Though, on a nit-picky note, I found the wording of the article a little unclear in some places. I thought the author should’ve mentioned that the top LEED certification is Platinum. The article makes it sound like the top certification is called LEED.) Be...
